Bastian is the founder und CEO of Bastian van Mierlo Software Consulting.

Bastian is a highly experienced software expert. His an expert in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central • Microsoft Dynamics NAV (all versions) • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Solutions (CRM) •  Microsoft Fundraising and Engagement • Microsoft Power Platform • C/AL and AL Development • ERP/CRM-Systems • Project Management (PMI certified) • Requirement analysis and -specification • managing international Teams  • software development and –methods.

He has relevant knowledge in .NET Development (C#) • Azure DevOps • agile project management • SQL queries • Knowledge MS SQL Server • MS SharePoint • MS Office Products/Microsoft Office 365 • PowerBI • Knowledge in Soft- and Hardware Support • IT-Infrastructure

Bastian was born and raised near the German-Dutch border where he lived and worked the first 30 years of his live.

He learned Navision-development, consulting and project management from scratch at a consulting company in Krefeld where he worked for 10 years after having completed his training at the same company successfully. There, he gained profound and extensive experience within different branches and organisational forms with a focus on associations and NGOs.

In 2011, he moved to the Bergstraße, a beautiful region beteween Frankfurt and Heidelberg, where he worked as an Application Development Manager for CBM International. In 2013, He started his second and nowadays main job as a freelance consultant. 

In 2015, he graduated from the Wilhelm-Bücher-Hochschule with a degree in computer science and also received a certificate as a Project Manager from PMP.


In 2019, he and his family to the Bonn region and to Portugal to live near the sea. Thanks to excellent glass fibre connection he is able to continue providing his services to his customers in Germany as usual, be it from the Rheinland or Portugal.

In 2020, he extended my freelance work and the company has since then grown continuously.
